1. I now interrupt my regularly scheduled blogging for a very exciting new tearsheet of mine :) I photographed a gorgeous new line of vintage jewelry, and the New York Times T Magazine blog published a photo of one of the necklaces. :)

I have also decided that I don't necessarily have to follow all my own rules even for the blog, so, though my next entry was meant to be music- I do believe that I will post whatever is relevant. Thank you for sticking with me loyal readers- more excitement is en route, promise! Happy intro to Summer !

  2. I wonder if there is something in my DNA that causes my fascination with abandoned institutions, prisons, or places of extreme emotional unrest... we can explore that a bit later, but for today's travel entry I am posting once again about Australia!

I was extremely fortunate to shoot at an off the beaten path bed and breakfast in North Victoria, Australia. While I was there- the lovely owners drove me around a neighboring city called Beechworth (which has some amazing honey that has reached all the way to NYC!) This was an insane asylum ,and a MASSIVE one that not only remains abandoned, but is next door to a daycare (hahaha!)

I want to go back and do a fashion photoshoot here :) Enjoy Beechworth!

  3. Are you kidding me? This cupcake has to be the best invention...possibly ever ! I was invited to attend the Bust Magazine Craftacular and Food Fair a few weeks ago, and it was one of the most fun things I've done in the city in nearly 5 years :) Well done, Bust Magazine!

The event was in SoHo and filled with just my type of people- local artisans and foodies. I love supporting the locals! When I entered and came across Robicelli's cupcakes, of course I had to stay and chat with them for a bit. They are lovely people with some of the most clever ideas for cupcakes I've seen :) How much more goodness can you get than this? Chicken n’Waffles: Vanilla “waffle” cake, vanilla buttercream, buttermilk soaked fried chicken dunked in pure Vermont maple syrup

  4. :) Hello blogging world- its been a little while, but rest assured, I am sticking to the short blogging. I guess it would behoove me to use some of my tearsheets in this lovely space- and how apropos that this tear comes right in time for my "music" entry :)

I have mentioned that I was very fortunate to take piano lessons with 2 outstanding teachers/musicians here in NYC. Travis, one of my fantastic teachers, has become a friend, and someone I admire incredibly. Here's a very nice article written about him, http://www.allaboutjazz.com/php/article.php?id=39501 and oh yea, that's my photo. Happy Spring to all the NY'ers since it has just arrived, its worth mentioning!
