1. .. so I was shooting headshots in The Cloisters- which happens to be one of my favorite, semi-hidden parks in New York. I took a client/friend there who is about to move to Oregon- and she felt right at home among the gorgeous green and quietness nestled at the tip of Manhattan. We walked around for a little while to absorb the views- and I could not take my eyes off this gorgeous butterfly's wings. I named it Dali, because its wings looked as intricate and wonderful as Dali's paintings. Happy Spring transforming into Summer, indeed.

  2. Back into the archives... I found this wonderful photo of Ellie Krieger and Susan Ungaro (president of The James Beard Foundation), and just had to post! Ellie is absolutely gorgeous in person and ridiculously nice. She was extremely well spoken, knowledgeable, intelligent, and personable. I really enjoyed meeting her and hearing her speak. She spoke at The James Beard Foundation in support of her new cookbook "Comfort Food Fix". Definitely check it out here !!!

  3. Forgive my absence... I blinked and suddenly it is MAY! How did that happen? I have about 4 million extremely exciting things in the works, and as a good friend of mine was recently visiting my hometown of Seattle, inevitably it brought up my pride and joy for the city I was born in. I have a thing for signs- odd, interesting, funny, memorable... this was my mom's favorite bakery at the Pike Place Market and went quite frequently when my sisters and I were kids. Enjoy the beautiful sign, and if anyone is remotely near, run there, and have one of each possible pastry that they serve :)
