1. I first heard of Ted Allen during the Queer Eye for the Straight Guy days (I miss that hilarious show!)...but now he is this sensational host, author, and famous voice from Chopped :) What a stand-up guy. I was very fortunate to meet and photograph him for The James Beard Foundation, he was so friendly, I could have talked to him all day... couldn't resist getting this photo, happy weekend to all !

  2. I love my job. Truly, it is incredible to be able to do what you love for a living- and to enjoy it! One of my favorite gigs is shooting for the James Beard Foundation . I was thrilled to be selected to shoot the only all female chef guests I can ever recall ! Barbara Lynch and the All Stars was the title of the evening- which included the following incredible talents: Barbara Lynch and the All-Stars JBF Award Winner Barbara Lynch B&G Oysters, The Butcher Shop, Drink, Menton, No. 9 Park, Sportello, and Stir, Boston Rebecca Charles Pearl Oyster Bar, NYC JBF Award Winner Ariane Daguin D’Artagnan, Newark, NJ Pastry Chef Nancy Olson Gramercy Tavern, NYC Missy Robbins A Voce, NYC Sommelier Keri Levens Aquavit, NYC Check out the James Beard Blog on May 9th for the menu- perhaps I will post some of their delectable dishes that evening- but for now, I say this all girls club deserves its very own blog post :)

  3. Back in the summer of '07, I was about to graduate from photography college... and I expertly decided to go out with a bang. I created my own independent study class, and ran around Europe for 2 months. It was absolutely one of the best things I've ever done- I saw 13 countries in what seemed like 2 minutes, and I have been aching to go back and do it all over again! This is a fav of mine in Prague- certified the cleanest country I've been to so far. The architecture was out of this world, the food incredible, and the exchange rate at the time was about 20:1, so I was a millionaire :) Enjoy, and happy weekend to all !
